Basic Concepts of Financial Education

Yokohama Financial Group views financial education one of its key duties for the sake of the sustainable growth of communities and the sound development of the youth who will lead the next generation. Financial education is education for understanding the varied functions of money and finance, thinking deeply about one's life and society through money, and refining one's way of living and sense of values while cultivating a stance of taking action toward creating more affluent living and a better society. In other words, it is education aimed at nurturing power for living.
Accordingly, on matters related to the money that is an essential part of living, Yokohama Financial Group is committed to financial education for everyone in the community, children and adults alike, with a focus on our unique Hamagin Money Classroom, Higashi-Nippon Bank Money Classroom, and Kanagin Financial Classroom financial education programs.
