Message from the President
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for your continued support.
In order to continue to be a “financial group indispensable to its region” as stated in our Management Principles, we have designated Our Vision as "a solution company rooted in communities and selected as a partner to walk together" based on our determination to be chosen as the most accessible institution by sincerely addressing the issues faced by local communities and our customers, as well as improving the range and quality of our solutions.
In the medium-term management plan, which started in April 2025, we have positioned the next three years as three years to make a leap into the future and has been building a foundation to support the sustainable growth, including steady growth in the home market, maximizing human capital, improving productivity, contributing to the regional economies, and sophisticating Group Governance, under the three basic themes of “Growth,” “Empowerment,” and “Sustainability.” We are also focusing on evolving into a comprehensive financial group, and in April 2025, we welcomed L&F Asset Finance, which has strengths in real estate finance, as a member of the Group.
The company name was changed to “Yokohama Financial Group” from October 2025. This change in trade name is to more clearly show that we are a financial group with the Bank of Yokohama at its core and our role as a regional financial institution. As a regional financial group, we will make further efforts to contribute to local communities, achieve sustainable growth, and strengthen our diverse financial services by leveraging the international nature, diversity, and strong brand power of the city of Yokohama.
Capitalizing on the comprehensive strengths of the Group, we will continue to strive to create both social and economic value and enhance corporate value by providing optimal financial services to local communities and our customers. At the same time, we will also work on enhancing shareholder returns to build a future supported by all stakeholders.
